A DAY OF REMBERANCE!

November 11, 2009 08:48 by Norm Rousseau

Why Remember?

We must remember. If we do not, the sacrifice of those one hundred thousand Canadian lives will be meaningless. They died for us, for their homes and families and friends, for a collection of traditions they cherished and a future they believed in; they died for Canada. The meaning of their sacrifice rests with our collective national consciousness; our future is their monument.

Turn up the sound and enjoy; Remembrance Day.wmv (6.05 mb)

Parkland Music Festival at St. Mary’s University College

October 9, 2009 10:11 by Admin

Is it possible to develop vibrant communities in the neighbourhoods of Calgary with its rapidly growing population?
Calgary’s southeast community of Parkland has shown it is possible—through music, art, and a good deal of fun. Their annual music festival and continual activities throughout the year are among the most successful, well-attended suburban events in Calgary.

How did they do it? Join the residents of Parkland in their multimedia presentation:
The Song that Built a Community,
Wednesday, November 18, 2009, 7:30pm
