Hello neighbours. Thanks for participating in the Shawnee-Evergreen annual parade of garage sales on June 7th and 8th. We hope you found some good bargains despite the rain. We received some inquires this year about whether a local realtor had sponsored the event. Apparently he distributed glossy flyers in the mail to parts of Evergreen, implying sponsorship and promising maps of the garage sale route. When the maps didn’t appear, some residents were disappointed and they directed their inquiries to us. We would like to clarify that this community event was not sponsored by any individual or organization. The realtor should not have implied that he was associated with this event – and he shouldn’t have made promises he didn’t keep!
