As you probably noticed, the site has undergone some dramatic changes.  This is still the official Shawnee-Evergreen Community Association website!

The old shawnee-evergreen website had been a great way to disperse information about the community, but we noticed that the ease of use of the old site was not all that it could be for an information delivery medium.  With some investigation, we have concluded that the community web needed a facelift!

New ways to stay connected

Using RSS feeds, you can use a feed reader to get community information delivered to you as it changes.  Simply click on any RSS icon ( except this one!) and your browser will direct you to the feed for that topic.  Generally, you would want the Main RSS feed, which provides all information posted on the site.  However, you can also click on the "archive" tab at the top right and see a breakdown of topics and feed off of them individually.  When we update content within those sections, you get only what you want, delivered to your feed reader.  Please check with your software for directions on setting up and reading these feeds for your particular application.

Faster Website

We noticed some complaints about the slow speed of the old site.  Most of the time it was unnoticable, but when rumours spread about the sale of the golf course, things got a little bogged down.  This new site is lighter and easier to maintain - and should better handle the loads and stresses better.

Feedback

We also have the ability now to record your feedback on issues.  At the bottom of every entry, you may rate the article and leave a comment for us to read.  (Please be kind!) We all are volunteers and will do our best to quickly respond to your comments.  The comments will be monitored, and removed if they are inappropriate for the site.  Our goal isn't censorship but rather a focus on reliable information and a safe distribution method for our constructive participants.  If a topic interests you, you can also get a feed from just the comments in the section to keep up to date.
